FUNCTION AND USE:
It is the most widely used broad-spectrum, high-efficiency and low-toxicity new anthelmintic for domestic veterinarians, and has the function of repelling animal nematodes, trematodes and tapeworms.
It has good effect on most adult worms and larvae of gastrointestinal nematodes in cattle. For example, it has excellent repelling effect on adults and larvae of angiostrongyliasis, snakelike angiostrongyliasis, cypress cyst nematode, bovis bovis, osterta austria, angiostrongyliasis mastoidea and Haemonchus contortus. High dose limit also has good effect on radiation of esophageal nematode, nematode, Reticulitermes, Fasciola hepatica and Monitz tapeworm.
Low dose has good effect on Haemonchus, Ostertha, Angiostrongylus, Fine Neck Nematode, Nematode Covering, Esophageal Mouth Nematode, Charbert Nematode, Marshall Nematode, Cooper Nematode, Clostridium botryoides, and Monitz Taenia Adult. High dose also has obvious repellent effect on most gastrointestinal nematode larvae, net tail nematode immature worms, and Fasciola hepatica adult worms.
Imidazole is highly effective on adults and larvae of horse large roundworms such as common roundworms, toothless roundworms, horse roundworms and most small roundworms.
It has good effects on Ascaris suum, odontoid esophagogastric nematode, long tail avian crossing nematode, hexaplophorus hexagonus, six nematodes, acanthognatha rigida and strongyloides (pulmonary nematode). The effect of albendazole on bdelloid echinoderms giganteus is unstable.
Dogs and cats:
20mg/kg per day for 3 days is highly effective on Ascaris canis, hookworm and tapeworm, and also has good effect on Trichinella spiralis in intestinal phase of dogs. Cats infected with Paragonimus clonorchis can kill all worms by taking 50mg/kg orally three times a day for 14 days.
